Day 1

Arrival – WARSAW

Arrival to Warsaw, transfer to a 3*/ 4* hotel, check-in. After a short break we start with the city tour. We will see the modern city centre with modern skyscrapers and the famous Palace of Culture and Science, a gift from Stalin to Warsaw. We will drive along the Royal Route towards the Old Town, totally destroyed during the war. We will see the Royal castle, St. Anne’s church and the Old Town Market Square, St. John’s Cathedral and the city walls with Barbican. Next, a transfer towards the former Warsaw ghetto, we will learn about the life and extermination of the Warsaw Jews and see the monuments honouring their struggle in the Ghetto Uprising. We will also visit places connected with the most famous Polish composer Frederic Chopin. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.


Day 2


Breakfast and early departure for Czestochowa, visit of the shrine where the holy icon of the Black Madonna has been kept by Pauline fathers since 1382. Next, transfer to Auschwitz and a guided visit of the camp site. Transfer to Birkenau where still camp barracks and a railway platform with the entrance gate – one of the iconic symbols of the holocaust – can be seen. Transfer to Cracow, check-in in a 3*/4* hotel, dinner, overnight.


Day 3

Breakfast and a guided city tour of Cracow: Wawel hill with its renaissance castle and cathedral, the resting place of the Polish kings and national leaders, Old Town, Royal Route, the largest in Europe Market Square, the cloth hall and St. Mary’s church with its famous altar – a wooden masterpiece of Veit Stoss. In the afternoon visit of the Wieliczka salt mine a World Heritage site of UNESCO, one of the greatest tourist attractions of the region. Return transfer to the hotel, dinner, overnight.

Day 4

Breakfast, transfer to Wadowice, birthplace of pope John Paul II. In Wadowice we will see the house where Karol Wojtyła was born and we shall visit the church where the future pope was baptized. We will have an opportunity to taste the famous “Kremówka” or cream cake, the favourite sweet of young Karol. Return transfer to Cracow for the sightseeing of Kazimierz district, one of the best preserved Jewish settlements in Europe. It was here where many scenes from Steven Spielberg’s “Schindler’s List” were filmed. Today Kazimierz is a vibrant district, popular among artists and students, known for its nightlife, art galleries and fashionable cafes and eateries. Our day will be completed with a visit at the museum of the former Oskar Schindler factory. Dinner, overnight.

Day 5

CRACOW – departure
Breakfast, check-out, free time. Transfer to the airport and return flight.
