Warsaw is a unique city and truly one of its kind. Almost completely destroyed during World War II today it is an absolute heart of the country, an administrative, commercial, business and cultural centre. It is a city of contrasts, which combines a tragic history with a courageous look towards the future. Only here can you find an ultramodern city centre with high steel-and-glass skyscrapers right next to the charming Old Town meticulously rebuilt and enrolled on the World Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO, next to vast green parks and royal residencies.
